June 29
I woke up at Jessica and Ying’s apartment, my dad calling me back home to light incense for my grandmother. I showered and Edmond and I took public transportation home, to make sure we can find our way back.
I ate a bag of veggies and a few bananas for breakfast. Everyone was shocked.
I went with my Uncle 2 and Edmond to a mall. We bought some food and went back. Uncle 2 wanted us to go hang out at the mall and take the food back, but I couldn’t let a seventy-year-old man take all those groceries back by himself.
We got back home and my dad joined Edmond and me to meet with Jessica. We went to a trendier mall. I bought a pair of jeans, a necklace, and a keychain with an extra set of keys. I also helped dress Edmond up and made him wear clothes he was uncomfortable with, to expand his comfort zone. He bought some clothes that made him look good.
My dad was under the impression that Jessica and I were bad influences on Edmond, teaching him something that will cause him to spend more money at a time when he needs to be more frugal because of family finances. I discussed this with Jessica and we agree that knowledge is generally a good thing, and that keeping a person ignorant innocent does long term damage.
I gave Edmond my copy of No More Mr. Nice Guy.
