Day 17/360: Rock Concert Gets Crowd Stolen by Oscars
Fuck the Oscars. I went out by myself, feeling alright. I arrived at the club and it was completely empty. I only realized after I paid $10. FML. (Hi Shiz!)
I kept hoping it would fill up, but it was so dead that the opening act was canceled. Yeah.
Eventually a crowd started forming for the main act. My state was low, but I was able to pump it up just by enjoying the music, bobbing my head and rocking out until I started forming a natural smile. It’s interesting how I can manipulate my own state nowadays.
A girl walked by me and started ordering drinks next to me. Horse girl, not her. I let her walk away.
I saw a girl standing near the stage. Horse girl, smart tests, smart/hot/rich. She politely said she’s not the girl I should be talking to and excused herself.
Three girls by the bar. Horse girl to the outermost girl. One girl left, the other girl was preoccupied with another guy. Psychic routine, where are you from, I’m from New York, smart tests, smart/hot/rich, 8 girlfriends. Do you want to be my girlfriend #9? No. Well, I guess negotiations are over, then. Nice meeting you. Bleh, I should have stayed in.
I saw two girls sitting at a booth. There was a big step to get to the booth, and I tripped on my way there, haha. Sat next to the hot one, horse girl. Halfway through a guy comes by, bringing a bottle of vodka. The guy and girl whisper to each other, then the guy turns to me and tells me to get out of there.
Okay so now I’m out of state again. The band started playing. I decided to listen to them, since I paid a cover. I haven’t gone to a concert in a long time anyway. They were pretty good, 80s cover band dressed all nerdy. The Spazmatics. Joey from N*Sync was there, it was his birthday and he got on stage and did a song with them.
Once they were done, I went to the smoking area. Some girl grabbed me and asked if I liked horses. We talked a little, but her friends called her back. I looked and didn’t recognize any of them, so I left.
Overall a good night. I could have talked to more girls, but a little bit of anxiety prevented me doing so. I got to see a cool band, I was able to pump up my state by myself, and I went solo. I ran my stack on two girls, but I wasn’t as persistent as I should have been.
I wish my foot would heal faster.
